"Dancing Jabirus - Townsville Town Common Environmental Park."

This large stork has a dance-like display. A pair stalks up to each other face to face, extending their wings and fluttering the wing tips rapidly and advancing their heads until the meet. They then clatter their bills and walk away. The display lasts for a minute and may be repeated several times. The Jabiru is the only stork found in Australia. The female is distinguished by its yellow eye which is visible in this image. The species is also called the Black-necked Stork. I recently discovered trypophobics are folks who are distressed by pictures like this. No, they are not averse to lemons per se. “Trypophobia is an aversion to the sight of irregular patterns or clusters of small holes or bumps. It is not officially recognized as a mental disorder, but may be diagnosed as a specific phobia if excessive fear and distress occur.
